Autoimmunity is the state, where body loses the ability to distinguish between self and non-self cells. The body.s immune system goes off the track and starts destroying the self normal cells and molecules. This results in damage to the body and results in autoimmune diseases, e.g. Rheumatoid arthritis, Addison.s disease, Hashimoto.s disease, etc.
