Loops of tRNA

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The five loops of a tRNA molecule are
(i) Anticodon loop It has bases complementary to the codon of mRNA
(ii) Amino acid acceptor and It is 3. end of tRNA that contains CCA-OH and acts as amino acids binding site. tRNAs are specific for specific amino acid
T `Psi` C loop It helps in binding to ribosome
(iv) DHU loop It helps in binding to aminoacyl synthetase
(v) Variable loop It is variable in both nucleotide composition and in length
