Intrauterine insemination is one of the methods of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) . In this method, a fine catheter is inserted through the cervix, into the uterus to place a sperm sample directly into the uterus. This procedure may be done when ovulation occurs. The woman may be administered a low does of Luteinising Hormone (LH) before the practice to initiate ovulation .
