Explanation

Gynandromorph Morgan and Bridges used the Chromosomal theory of A+ XX sex-determination to explain the origin of gynandrornorphs, which are usually female on oile side of the body and male on the other. In Drosophila. Gynandromorphs, arise from zygotes that have originally two X-chromosomes hence, should develop into females. Misdivision of the chromosomes may however, occur and one of the X-chromosomes may be lost in some of the cells during the cleavage of the fertilised egg, The body parts formed by the descendants of the cell that have a single X left are male whereas the cells that keep their two X-chromosomes, give rise to female parts of gynandromorph.
