The similarities in spermatogenesis and oogenesis.

Similarities between spermatogenesis and oogenesis are
(i) Both the processes occur in the germ cells in the gonads.
(ii) Both the processes produce haploid gametes sperm in males and ovum in females for sexual reproduction.
(iii) Both the processes consist of three main phases, i.e. multiplication, growth and maturation.
(iv) Both the processes involve changes in nucleus as well as cytoplasm of the gamete mother cell.
