When will you say a body is in (i) uniform acceleration ?
(ii) non-uniform acceleration ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(i) Uniform acceleration : If an object travels in a straight line and its velocity changes by equal amounts in equal intervals of time, then the object is said to be in uniform acceleration.
(ii) Non-uniform acceleration : If the velocity of the object changes by unequal amounts in equal intervals of time, then the object is said to be in non-uniform acceleration.

What is the speed of the body moving with uniform acceleration at the midpoint of two points on a straight line, where the speeds are u and v respectively?

When a body is subjected to a uniform acceleration, it always moves in a straight line. Straight line motion is the natural tendency of the body.
