If a constant force is applied to an object of mass 0.9 kg in stationary state for 10s, it covers distance of 250m, what magnitude of this force would be?

A

18 N

B

13.5 N

C

9N

D

4.5 N

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

`s=ut+(1)/(2)at^(2)=ut+(1)/(2)((F)/(m))t^(2)`
Now,
u=0,m=0.9 kg,t=10s,s=250m
Som `250=0+(1)/(2)((F)/(0.9))(10)^(2)`
`therefore F=((250)(0.9))/(100)=4.5N`
4.5 N
