A compound of calcium reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid to produce effervescence. The gas evolved extinguishes a burning candle, turns lime water milky. Write a balanced chemical equation for the reaction if one of the compounds formed is calcium chloride.

When a green solid P was heated it turned into a black solid Q and a colourless gas X was released. On passing gas X, over heated carbon and another colourless gas Y was formed. Gas Y burned in oxygen to reform gas X. What will be be observed if gas X is bubbled into lime water ?

Hence it is a chemical change(iii)Take a tea spoon of vinegar in a test tube and odd a pinch of baking soda to it(iv)Lime water changes to milky white showing that the gas sent into the test tube is carbondioxide

A metal sulphide A gives gas B with rotten egg smell and a colourless sulphate C, when treated with dil H_2SO_4 . B reacts with K_2Cr_2O_7//H^+ to form D, a white grey element. D burns in oxygen to yield E a colourless gas. If B is added to E, it gives D and a colourless liquid, which turns anhydrous CuSO_4 blue. C gives precipitate with NH_(3(aq)) or NaOH, which dissolves in excess of NaOH
