If tantheta+sectheta =x,find sintheta...

If `tantheta+sectheta =x`,find `sintheta`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given, `sec theta+tantheta=3/2 (i)`
Now, `sectheta-tan theta=1/(sectheta+tantheta)=2/3 (ii)`
Adding Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get `2sectheta=3/2+2/3=13/6`
`:. Sectheta=13/12`
`:. Tantheta=5/12`
and `sin theta=5/13`
