Draw a triangle ABC of base BC = 5.6 cm,...

Draw a triangle ABC of base `BC = 5.6 cm, angle A = 40^(@)` and the bisector of `angle A` meets BC at D such that CD = 4 cm .

A

`(2,2)`

B

`(3,2)`

C

`(2,3)`

D

`(1,1)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

We have `a=5,b=4,c=3`
Incentre I divides AD int the ratio `b+c:a`.
Therefore,I divides AD in the ratio `7:5`
Hence, coordinates of I are (1,1).
