Rosenmund.s reduction : Acyl chlo ride or acid chloride on hydrogenation in presence of catalyst Palladium on barium sulphate (BaSO4) yields corresponding alde hydes. This reaction is called Rosenmund.s reduction and is used for the preparation of aldehydes.
