Describe the role of the following:
NaCN in the extraction of silver from a silver ore.

Role of NaCN in the extraction of silver (Ag) is to do the leaching of Ag ore in the presence of air (for `O_(2)`) where silver ore gets dissolved and from which the silver is obtained later by replace ment whereas impurities remain insoluble.
