You are provided with two identical metal bars. One out of the two is a magnet. Suggest two ways to identify the magnet.

Explanation

Magnets can be identified in following two ways-

i. Take both the metal bars and put them in the iron fillings and instantly bring them out. The magnet will have some iron fillings attracted to it and the simple metal bar will be plain.

ii. Take a magnet and bring it near both the metal bars one by one. The bar which either attracts or repels the magnet is itself a magnetic bar while the other is not.
