Why can ethers be cleaved preferentially by hot conc. HI and HBr but not by conc. HCl ?

Ethers can be preferentially cleaved by hot conc. HI and HBr but not by conc. HCl. Since, it only reacts under more vigorous conditions. The order of reactivity of halogen acids follows the sequence, `HI gt HBr gt HCl`. Greater the nucleophilicity of the halide ion, more reactive is the halogen acids
