Which form of sulphur shows paramagnetic behaviour? What happens when `SO_3` is passed through water?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

At high temperature sulphur exists as `S_2` molecules and show paramagnetic behaviour. When `SO_2` is passed through water, it gets solublised in water and forms `H_2SO_4`.
`SO_2 + H_2O rarr H_2SO_4`
