What are antibiotics? Writedown the name of two antibiotics.

Antibiotics are used as drugs to treat infections because of their low toxixity for humans and animals .It is referred to a subctance produced wholly or partly by chemical synthesis , which in low concentrations inhibit the growth or destroys microorganisms by intervening in their metabolic pathway .
The two examples of antibiotics are chloramphenical and ofloxacin.
