The basic character of the transition metal monoxides follows the order (Atomic numbers of Ti, V, Crand Fe are 22, 23, 24 and 26 respectively).

A

CrO `gt` VO `gt` FeO `gt` Tio

B

TiO `gt` FeO `gt` VO `gt` Cro

C

TiO `gt` VO `gt` CrO `gt` Feo

D

VO `gt` CrO `gt` TiO `gt` Feo

The correct Answer is:
C

The basic characters of transition metal monoxides, decreases from left to right in the period. As we move in a transition series, +2 oxidation states become more and more stable. This means that the tendency of metals to give electrons becomes more as we move in the period. In other words the reducing character increases and the basic character decreases.
