`[Pt(NH_3)Cl_3]^(x)` where x is the charge on the complex ion.
x=Oxidation state of platinum+Charge on the ligands.
`x=(+2)+(0) + 3 xx (-1) = -1 `
Therefore, the complex ionis: `[Pt(NH_3)Cl_3]^(-)`
Cation or counter ion in this case is : `K^(+)` (simple ion).
Evidently, one cation will neutralise the charge on the complex ion.
Hence the formula of the complex is `K[Pt(NH_3)Cl_3]`
