Find the greatest coefficient in the e...

Find the greatest coefficient in the expansion of `(a + b + c+ d)^(15)`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here , n= 15 and k = 4
` [ because a, b,c,d` are terms ]
` ""^(12)C_(6) a^(6) b^(6) = 924 a^(6) b^(6)`
` therefore` q = 3 and r = 3
Hence , greatest coefficient `= (15!)/((3!)^(1) (4!)^(3))`
