Young's double slit experiment is carried out using microwaves of
wavelength `lambda=3cm`. Distance between the slits is `d= 5cm` and the distance
between the plane of slits and the screen is `D=100cm`.

The correct Answer is:
(i). 3
(ii). `y=0` and `y=+-75cm`

The length of the screen for the fringe pattern
`=2y`
`becausedsintheta_(max)=(y)/(D)=1,y=D`
`therefore` No. of maxima `=(2xxD)/("fringe width")=(2D)/(lamdaD//d)`
`=(2d)/(lamda)=(2xx5cm)/(3cm)=3.3` (say 3)
