The correct Answer is:
(A)

By using reduced mass concept this system can be reduced to
Where `mu=((3m)(6m))/(3m + 6m)=2m` and `F_1 =` Force on either block w.r.t. centre of mass of the system
`= F/2 + (3m)a_(cm) = F/2 + (3m)((F-F//2)/(9m)) = F/2+F/6=2/3F`
Now from wrok energy theorm, `2F/3x_m = 1/2Kx_(m)^(2) rArr x_(m) = (4F)/(3K)`

At t = 0 , a constant force is applied on 3 kg block. Find out maximum elongation in spring in cm.

A spring of force constant k is kept in the compressesd condition between two blocks masses m and M on the smooth surface of a table as shown in figure .When the spring is released , both the blocks move in opposite directions .When the spring attains the orginal (normal ) position . both blocks lose the constacts with the spring . If x is the intial compression of the spring find the speeds of block while getting detached from the spring .

If the two blocks moves with a constant uniform speed then find coefficient of fricition between the surface of the block B and the table. The spring is massless and the pulley is fricitionless.

In the diagram shown below, the rod is uniform having mas M and length L. When it is making an angle = 60^(@) the rod is released from the state of rest (and spring in its natural lenth) The rod comes to state of rest when the angle theta reduces to 30^(@) . What should be the initial compression in the spring (when theta = 60^(@)) so that the whole system can remain in the state of rest? (there is no friction between any surfaces)

The block moves 10 cm down the incline before coming to rest . Find the coefficient of friction between the block and the incline .Assume that the spring has a negligible mass and the pulley is frictionless.

A block of mass 2.0 kg is given an initial speed along the floor towards a spring as shown. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the floor and the block is 0.4 and force constant of the spring is 5.6xx10^(3) N/m. The block compresses the spring by 10cm before it stops for a moment. What is the initial speed (m/s) of the block?

A block of mass m lies on a horizontal frictionless surface and is attached to one end of a horizontal spring (with spring constant k ) whose other end is fixed . The block is intinally at rest at the position where the spring is unstretched (x=0) . When a constant horizontal force vec(F) in the positive direction of the x- axis is applied to it, a plot of the resulting kinetic energy of the block versus its position x is shown in figure. What is the magnitude of vec(F) ?

A uniform thin cylindrical disk of mass M and radius R is attaached to two identical massless springs of spring constatn k which are fixed to the wall as shown in the figure. The springs are attached to the axle of the disk symmetrically on either side at a distance d from its centre. The axle is massless and both the springs and the axle are in horizontal plane. the unstretched length of each spring is L. The disk is initially at its equilibrium position with its centre of mass (CM) at a distance L from the wall. The disk rolls without slipping with velocity vecV_0 = vacV_0hati. The coefficinet of friction is mu. The maximum value of V_0 for whic the disk will roll without slipping is-
