Refractive index of a glass cube is sqrt...

Refractive index of a glass cube is `sqrt(2)`. A ray of light is incident on left face of the cube as shown. Right face of a glass cube is silvered. If the total deviation suffered by the ray when it comes out of the glass cube is `45n` (in degree) then find `n`:

A

0

B

1

C

3

D

4

The correct Answer is:
C

When a ray enters into different medium & again reenter in a same medium there is no deviation due to refraction (overall) but bottom silvered glasss surface provides `180^(@)` deviation from the reflection .
