A trolley is moving horizontally with a constant velocty of `v m//s` w.e.t. earth. A man starts running from one end of the trolley with velocity `1.5v m//s` w.r.t. to trolley. After reaching the opposite end, the man return back and continues running with a velocity of `1.5 v m//s` w.r.t. the trolley in the baclward direction. If the length of the trolley is L then the displacement of the man with respect to earth during the process will be :-

A

2.5 L

B

1.5L

C

A trolley was moving horizontally on a smooth ground with velocity v with respect to the earth. Suddenly a man starts running from rear end of the trolley with a velocity (3//2)v with respect to the trolley. After reaching the other end, the man turns back and continues running with a velocity (3//2)v with respect to trolley in opposite direction. If the length of the trolley is L, find the displacement of the man with respect to earth when he reaches the starting point on the trolley. Mass of the trolley is equal to the mass of the man.

A trolley of mass 200 kg moves with a uniform speed of 36 km/h on a frictionless track. A child of mass 20 kg runs on the trolley from one end to the other (10 m away) with a speed of 4 ms^(-1) relative to the trolley in a direction opposite to the its motion, and jumps out of the trolley. What is the final speed of the trolley? How much has the trolley moved from the time the child begins to run?

On a frictionless horizontal surface , assumed to be the x-y plane , a small trolley A is moving along a straight line parallel to the y-axis ( see figure) with a constant velocity of (sqrt(3)-1) m//s . At a particular instant , when the line OA makes an angle of 45(@) with the x - axis , a ball is thrown along the surface from the origin O . Its velocity makes an angle phi with the x -axis and it hits the trolley . (a) The motion of the ball is observed from the frame of the trolley . Calculate the angle theta made by the velocity vector of the ball with the x-axis in this frame . (b) Find the speed of the ball with respect to the surface , if phi = (4 theta )//(4) .
