The side of a cube is (2.00 pm 0.01) cm....

The side of a cube is `(2.00 pm 0.01)` cm. The volume and surface area of cube are respectively :-

A

`(8.00 pm 0.12)cm^(3), (24.0 pm 0.24)cm^(2)`

B

`(8.00 pm 0.01)cm^(3)(24.0 pm 0.01)cm^(2)`

C

`(8.00 pm 0.04)cm^(3) (24.0 pm 0.06) cm^(2)`

D

`(8.00 pm 0.03) cm^(3) (24.0 pm 0.02)cm^(2)`

The correct Answer is:
A

Volume, `V= a^(3) = 8 cm^(3)` , Also `(Delta V)/(V) = 3 (Delta a)/(a) rArr Delta V = 3V( Delta a)/(a) = (3)(8) ((0.01)/(2.00)) = 0.12 cm^(3)`
Therefore `V = (8.00 pm 0.12)cm^(3)`
Surface Area `A = 6a^(2) = 6 (2.00)^(2) = 24.0 cm^(2) `
Also `(DeltaA)/(A)= 2(Delta a)/(a) rArr Delta A (( Delta a)/(a)) = 2(24.0) ((0.01)/(2.00)) = 0.24`
Therefore A = `(24.0 pm 0.24) cm^(2) `
