The general formula of alkene is `C_(n)H_(2n)` and the general formula of cycloaane is also `C_(n)H_(2n)`. It is due to the formation of cyclic structure , carbon chain loses hydrogen atom from both end and becomes cycloalkane . This loss of two hydrogen atom gives the general formula `C_(n)H_(2n)`
