You are provided with a mixture of salt, sand, oil and water. Write the steps involved for the separation of salt, sand and oil from the mixture.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Oil being immiscible and less done than water will float on top. So it can be easily removed by scooping it out from water.
Sand will sink at the bottom. Salt will dissolve in water, so filter this solution thereby separating the sand particles then let the water evaporate to reclaim the salt.
