In places which are close to the coast, the proportion of water vapour in the atmospheric air is greater than the places which are far from the sea. In summer, the amount of water vapour in the atmospheric air is more due to high rate of evaporation, and hence, humidity is more. In winter, the temperature is low and rate of evaporation is less. As a result, humidity is less. Therefore, the proportion of water vapour in the atmospheric air is variable and depends on place and season.
