In case I, rusting does not take place.
In case II, rusting does not take place.
In case III, rusting takes place.
In case I, fused calcium chloride is taken which absorbs the moisture as a result of which the air in the test tube remains dry. Hence, rusting doesn.t take place.
In case II, boiled water is taken which is devoid of oxygen. The layer of oil on the surface of water prevents entry of air into the test tube. Therefore, rusting is prevented in this.
