Petrochemicals are important because they are used to manufacture large number of useful material such as detergents, synthetic fibres, plastics, synthetic rubber, drugs, dyes, perfumes, fertilizer,s insecticides, etc Hydrogen gas is obtained as a petrochemical from natural gas. It is used in the manugacture of fertilizers.
