Explain few drawbacks of burning of fossil fuel.

Burning fossil fuels also has a number of drawback as they release large quantities of harmful gases such as sulphur dioxide `(SO_(2))`, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide `(CO)`, carbon dioxide `(CO_(2))` and other particles such as soot, ash and smoke into the atmosphere. These harmful substances pollute the atmoshphere and cause air pollution, land pollution and water pollution.
