We get our physical traits from both our parents such as eye colour, hair and some habits. Yet, we do not look completely like them. Sometimes, we even end up looking like our grandparents. Explain why does this happen ?

Chromosomes contains DAN in them and DNA contains genes inside them, which are the small units that contains information about the traits of a person. This information is passed onto the offspring during reproduction. Hence, the offspring look similar to their parents and have their characteristics. Sometimes, it is also seen that an offspring look like their grandparents. It happens due to the same DNA of the offsprings, parents and grandparents.
