(a) When all cells are connected in parallel. The total e.m.f of the combination is 1.5 V. (b) When cells are connected as shown in figure,two of them in series and one in parallel, then the total e.m.f of the combination is 3 V. (c) When all the three cells are connected in series, then the total e.m.f is 4.5 V.
