The layer of atmosphere which is close to the earth.s surface is called troposphere. Hence, the temperature of troposphere is inversely proportional to the distance between surface of the earth and the different regions of the troposphere. Hence, temperature in this layer decreases with an increase in altitude. Interconversion of ozone and oxygen is more in the upper layer of stratosphere. During this process lot of heat energy is released, and hence, with increasing altitude temperature also increases in the stratosphere.
