What is the role of water vapour in the formation of fog?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The presence of water vapour in atmosphere influences the climatic conditions. Water vapour present in the atmosphere gets condensed on dust particles during night time (winter nights) because of low temperature. Depending upon the temperature, the water vapour produces snow, fog, mist, hails and other phenomena. When water vapour condenses on dust particles and remains suspended in atmosphere, it is called fog.
