When a current of eleven amperes is passed through an aqueous solution of `CrCI_3` , it is observed that 6.2 g of Cr are deposited. For how long was the current passed?

Reaction involved is :
`Cr^(3+)+underset(3F)(3e^-)to underset((52g))(Cr)`
Current req. for deposition of 52 g Cr=`3xx96500` C
Current req. for deposition of 6.2 g Cr= `(3xx96500)/52xx6.2`
= 34517 C
We know
Current in coulombs = Current in `amp.xx time` in sec.
`therefore` `34517=11xxt`
`t=34517/11` =3138 sec. or 0.872 hours
