Some of the industries that may cause air and thermal pollution as well as eutrophication are thermal power plants, refineries, smelting and metallurgical processing units, steel mills, fetiliser producing units and the industres using steam or water as coolant. The chemical released from these industries (if rich in nitrogen and phosphorus) may result in eutrophication.
