State and explain Faraday's law of electrolysis. 0.2964g of copper was deposited on passing a current of 0.5 ampere for 30 minutes through copper sulphate solution. What is the atomic mass of copper ?

Faraday.s law of electrolysis `:`
Given that ,Current ( C ) = 0.5A, time ( t) = 30 min = 1800 s
Quantity of electricity `= 0.5 xx 1800 = 900 `Coulombs
`:.` 900 Coulombs of electricity deposit 0.2964 g of copper
`:.` 96500 Coulombs of electricity deposit
`(0.2964 xx 96500)/( 900) = 31.78 g`
`:.` Equivalent mass of copper = 31.78
Valency =2
`:.` Atomic mass of copper `= 31.78 xx 2 = 63.56g`
