Given , charges of first sphere `q_1 = 0.4 muC `
Charge of second sphere ` q_2= 0.8 muC `
Magnitude of force between spheres ` F = 0.2 N`
According to Coulomb.s law ` F = (1)/(4piin_0) ( |q_1||q_2|)/(r^(2))`
` therefore r^(2) = (1)/ (4 piin _0) . (|q_1||q_2|)/(F) = ( 9 xx 10 ^(9) N-m^(-2) C^(-2)) xx (|0.4 xx 10 ^(-6) C| | 0.8 xx 10 ^(-6) C|)/( (0.2N))`
` rArr r^(2) = 144 xx 10 ^(-4) m^(2)`
` therefore r =12 xx 10 ^(-2) m = 12 cm `
