FERROMAGNETIC SUBSTANCES

STATEMENT-1 : Hard ferromagnetic materials are used for data storage . and STATEMENT-2 : Retentivity of hard ferromagnetic materials is very small .

Assertion: The ferromagnetic substance do not obey Curie's law. Reason: At Curie point a ferromagnetic substance start behaving as a paramagnetic subsrance.

Assertion : On heating ferromagnetic or ferromagnetic substance , they become paramagnetic Reason :The electrons change their spin on heating

A: Above curie-point a ferromagnetic substance behaves as a paramagnetic substance. R: Magnetic susceptibility of a diamagnetic substance increases with rise in temperature.

Assertion : The properties of paramagnetic and ferromagnetic substance are not effected by heating. Reason : As temperature rises, the alignment of molecular magnets gradually decreases.

Statement I : A ferromagnetic substance becomes a permanent magnet, when it is placed in a magnetic field. Statement II : All the domains get oriented in the direction of magnetic field.

With the help of electron spins, clearly distinguish between Ferromagnetic, Antiferromagnetic and Ferrimagnetic substances.

Assertion : If some ferromagnetic substance is filled inside a solenoid, its coefficient of self induction L will increase. Reason : By increasing the current in a coil, its coefficient of self induction L can be increased.
