(iii) Pleistocene-Holocene (about `10,000` years ago) when many giant mammal species become extinct. It is often called pleistocene overkill. Persently, 4000-6000 species die every year due to deforestation. Mouse Eared Bat (Myotis myotis) became extinct in 1990.
