Solve log(-x)=2log(x+1)dot...

Solve `log(-x)=2log(x+1)dot`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`log(-x) = 2log(x+1)`
Here, `-x` should be negative as we can have log of only positive numbers.
`:. -x gt 0 and x+1 gt 0`
`=>x le 0 and x gt -1`
`:. x in (-1,0)->(1)`
Now, `log(-x) = 2log(x+1)`
`=>log(-x) = log(x+1)^2`
`=>-x = (x+1)^2`
