(a) `-5 le x le -1`
`implies x^(2) in [1,5]`
(b) `3 lt x lt 6`
(c ) `-2 lt x le 3`
`implies -2 lt x le 3`
For `-2 lt x lt 0, x^(2) in (0,4) " (1)" `
and for `0 le x le 3, x^(2) in [0,9] " (2) `
From (1) and (2), `x^(2) in [0,9] `
Alternatively, ` x in (-2,3],` now least value of `x^(2)` is 0 which occurs when `x=0`
