Where do the lipids and proteins constituting the cell membrane get synthesised?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER) helps in the manufacture of lipids which are important for cell function. Ribosomes attached to the surface of endoplasmic reticulum are the sites of protein synthesis. The manufactured proteins are later sent to different places in the cell depending upon the need.
