Of the ions `Co^(2+), Sc^(3+)` and `Cr^(3+)` which ones will give coloured aqueous solutions and how will each of them respond to a magnetic field and why?

Text Solution

Ions containing unpaired electron can give coloured solution.
If number of unpaired electrons is greater than zero, then they are attracted by magnetic field and act as temporary magnet.
