(i) It stimulates the proliferation of the endometrium lining of the uterus. (ii) It increases the thickening of endemetrial lining due to multiplication and is accompanied by increase in uterine glands and biood vessels. (iii) The epithelium of fallopian tubes becomes thick and densely citiated to conduct the ovum or zygote. (iv) Inhibits the secretion of FSH and stimulate the secretion of LH from the anterior lobe of . the pituitary gland. High levels of estrogens stimulate the ovulation. Estrogen is secreted by follicular cells of graafian follicle under stimulation of FSH of anterior lobe of pituitary gland.
