Name the causal agent of "Pneumonia". Write its symptoms and prophylaxis.

Explanation

Pneumonia. This diease is caused by Diplococcus pneumoniae. Haemophilus influenzae Pneumonia is a serious disease of the lungs.
Symptoms. Lymph and mucus collect in the alveoli and bronchioles of the lungs so that the lungs do not get sufficient air. Therefore, proper exchange of gases does not take place in the alveoli. It usually lowers body resistance. Infection spreads by sputum of the patient. Its incubation period is just 1-3 days.
Prophylaxis. Isolation of infected persons.
Treatment. Penicillin, Streptomycin, Ampicillin etc.
