All normal cells have inherent characteristic of becoming cancerous:
(i) Normal cells have several genes called cellular oncogenes (c-onc) or protooncogenes which may get activated under certain conditions to make cells cancerous.
(ii) Normal cells may undergo oncogenic or cancerous transformaion.
(iii) Normal cells may lose the regulatory machanism .contact inhibition., which inhibited the uncontrolled growth of cells thus leading to cancerous growth.
