Explain green-house effect with reference to global warming.

Explanation

Green house effect is naturally occuring phenomenon responsible for heating of earth.s surface and atmosphere. Earth.s atmosphere acts as a cover which allows heat and light to enter in but heat is not escaped thus wạnning up the earth.
Half of the solar radiations falling on earth heat it. Earth.s surfaces then re-emits the heat as infrared radiations. Long wave infrared radiations are absorbed by the green house gases like carbon dioxide, methane. These gases again emit the radiations towards the earth. This cycle of absorbing and re-emiting radiations continues till the earth surface has no long wave radiations.
