What happens when colloidal solutions of `Fe(OH)_3` and 'AS_2O_3' are mixed ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`Fe(OH)_3` sol is positively charged while `As_2 S_3` sol is negatively charged. On mixing the two sols mutual coagulation takes place. This is because the two sols mutually neutralise each other.
