D

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Gram can be grown on a wide range of soil. But well drained medium to black cotton soils are very suitable. It can also be grown in light alluvial soils which are rich in organic matter. It cannot grow well on water logged and acidic soils. Corn requires rich, moist, well-drained sandy soil.
Cabbage grows well on a wide range of soils from light sand to heavier clays, but well-drained sandy loam to clay loam soils are ideal for its best growth.
Soils with a clay loam or loam texture, good structure and moderate water holding capacity are ideal for wheat cultivation.
